Charges -- 2nd DUI (VC 23152) and Driving on a Suspended License (VC 14601)
Court -- West Justice Center, Westminster, Orange County
Facts -- Client charged with 2nd DUI while still on probation for his first DUI and he was also charged with driving on a suspended license
DA’s original offer – 75 days jail with no house arrest allowed
Result – 75 days house arrest
 
 
In re B.Y. (2011)
Issue – DMV Admin per se hearing 
Facts – Client was driving under the influence of alcohol and involved in a major accident where multiple people died.
Result – Fred Thiagarajah subpoenaed the investigating officer to the DMV hearing and cross-examined him extensively.  The hearing lasted three days and based on Fred Thiagarajah’s grueling cross-examination, the DMV dismissed their case.

Charges – 2nd DUI (VC 23152) and child endangerment 
Court – Pasadena Justice Center, Los Angeles County
Facts – Client arrested for her 2nd DUI with her minor child in the car.  
Result – Got the child endangerment charge dismissed and arranged for client to enter a private jail where she can go to work during the day

Result -- Reduction to Dry Reckless Driving

People v. R.R. 
Charges -- Felony DUI, Felony Evading a Police Officer (Penal Code section 2800) 
Location -- North Justice Center, Fullerton, Orange County 
Facts -- During a traffic stop, Defendant attempted to evade police and ultimately crashed into a Radio Shack building. Defendant was taken to the hospital for severe injuries and Defendant`s passenger was injured as well. 
DA`s Offer -- 16 months state prison 
Result -- Probation and Residential Treatment; No Jail

Charges -- 1st DUI (VC 23152)
Location -- Pasadena Justice Center, Los Angeles County 
Facts -- Defendant crashed into parked cars; her blood alcohol level was .09%. 
Result -- Charges reduced to Wet & Reckless

Result -- Convinced DA not to file charges for drugs; Defendant given house arrest for 2nd DUI

Location -- Torrance Justice Center, Los Angeles County 
Facts -- Defendant had a .18 blood alcohol level when his car collided with another car. 2 passengers from the other car were transported to the hospital. 
Result -- Charge reduced to DUI with no injury; No Jail

Result -- DUI reduced to Wet & Reckless; Hit & Run Dismissed
