Anthony Joseph Clark, a 23-year-old Oregon resident, has been accused of stealing a vehicle and recklessly driving it while under the influence of LSD. According to the police, Clark believed he was in the video game, “Grand Theft Auto” and was being chased by the police. As claimed by local authorities, Clark was stopped, along with several other people during a DUI arrest. While officers were waiting for tow trucks to arrive,
Clark decided to jump into one of the impounded cars and drove off. Before Clark was captured, he managed to slam through multiple roadway fences, drove along the wrong side of the road on at least two highways, and crashed into a patrol car. Clark was finally stopped after driving over two spike strips. By some miracle, no one was injured during this pursuit. Clark, however, faces multiple charges from multiple police departments because of the lengthy chase.
The Ashland Police Department , Oregon State Police, and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office have all decided to file charges against Clark. Those charges are driving under the influence of a controlled substance, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, and criminal mischief. To learn more about drug DUI’s click here.
