On Wednesday, July 24, 2012, Jenna Jameson, through her attorney, plead not guilty to charges of DUI — Vehicle Code section 23152(a) & (b) — and driving without a valid license — Vehicle Code section 12500(a). Ms. Jameson was not present in court. Defendants charged with misdemeanors may have their attorneys appear for them pursuant to Penal Code section 977(a). Since this is Ms. Jameson’s first DUI, her attorney should be able to negotiate a deal that does not involve any jail time. It’s unknown what Ms. Jameson blew during the stop, but hopefully it was a breathalyzer.
