Orange County Superior Court — Change in Venue for Costa Mesa Cases

Orange County Superior Court is changing venue for all criminal cases from Costa Mesa.  Costa Mesa cases have traditionally been handled at the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.  However, because of budget cuts, the Harbor Justice Center in Laguna Hills appears to be closing and all its traffic matters are being sent to Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.   To help out Harbor Newport Beach, the courts are requiring that all Costa Mesa cases filed after March 18, 2013 be prosecuted at the West Justice Center, located at 8141 13th St. in Westminster.  Misdemeanor and felony Costa Mesa cases that are filed before March 18, 2013, will continue to be handled at Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.  However, all Costa Mesa infraction trials will be handled at West Justice Center as of May 6, 2013, regardless of when the case began.
