Aaron Hernandez, former New England Patriot’s tight-end, was taken into custody in relation to the murder of 27-year old Odin Lloyd. Lloyd and Hernandez both played football for the city of Massachusetts, one as a star for the NFL’s Patriots and the other as a semi-pro linebacker for the Boston Bandits of the New England football league. As friends, the two were seen with one another on multiple occasions. Police say that security cameras picked up images of Hernandez and two other men picking up Lloyd from his three story house in a silver Nissan Altima at 2:30 AM on June 17th. Only shortly before and after the death of Lloyd, surveillance cameras in Hernandez’s house picked up images of him carrying a gun out and back into the house. Just days before the execution,
Lloyd seemed to infuriate Hernandez by talking to a group of men that Hernandez has had previous problems and “beef” with. Detectives are also investigating if Hernandez killed Lloyd while attempting to cover up his involvement in a drive by shooting that killed two and left one wounded outside of a Boston nightclub in June.
Hernandez seems to have a past with breaking the law and other issues. Many photos link him to possible gang related activities in Connecticut, possibly with the Bloods, as well as smoking Marijuana while playing for the University of Florida.
Currently, Hernandez is being held without bail and is being charged with 1st degree murder. He has plead not-guilty, but could face life in prison if convicted
