On January 7th, 2020, Orange County Superior Court Judge Gregory Jones determined that he would need more information and details before he would decide to dismiss or not dismiss the case against Dr. Grant Robicheaux and his girlfriend, Cerissa Riley. The case caught international attention and alleged that Robicheaux and Riley had sexually assaulted multiple women after using thier good looks to meet, drug, and lure women to Robicheaux’s apartment.

Both deny these allegations, and Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer cited a lack of evidence and made accusations of case mismanegment. Judge Jones stated that a “mix of politics and prosecution” had overcome this case, but he stated that his focus is on the evidence, and not on politcally-motivated allegations, and he will need more details and information before he decides to dismiss or not dismiss the case against Robicheaux and Riley.
