On September 25th, a woman residing in Indiana admitted to charges that she allowed her boyfriend, Nicholas Deon Thrash, to molest her 10 year old daughter. She pled guilty to charges of assisting a criminal, aiding child molesting, and neglect. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison, along with 5 years of probation. Thrash, on the other hand, was convicted of 10 counts of child molesting, and he was sentenced to 160 years in prison.
The victim, who remained unnamed, testified that Thrash had molested her at least 15 times. The mother also admitted that even after her daughter informed her that Thrash was molesting her, she continued to live with him. When the victim became pregnant, as a result of the molestation, the woman allegedly instructed the daughter to say a classmate impregnated her. Neither the molestation nor the pregnancy was reported to the police.
After the victim turned 11, she gave birth to a boy in September of 2017. The baby was given up for adoption, while the girl resides in foster care.
